NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man with a gunshot wound crashed a pickup truck on an entrance ramp in the Bronx on Thursday morning before dying at an area hospital—one of at least four shootings with injuries in the borough overnight.
Officers responding to a ShotSpotter activation at W. 181st Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Washington Heights around 10:45 p.m. found the 41-year-old man mortally wounded in a red Dodge pickup.
The pickup had crashed on an entrance ramp to the Cross Bronx Expressway on the Bronx side of the Washington Bridge, according to police.
The man had a gunshot wound to his torso. EMS rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Two other men were also shot in the Bronx earlier in the night.
An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg at the Sotomayor Houses in Soundview around 8:30 p.m.

Less than an hour later around 9:20 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in the arm at the nearby Monroe Houses.
Both of those victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Then around 12:20 a.m. Thursday, a 44-year-old man was shot in the face in a courtyard of the Edenwald Houses, PIX11 reported.
The shooter reportedly walked up to the man, shot him and ran off.
The victim was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
No arrests have been reported in any of the shootings as the investigations continue.
