The 24-year-old fell off the J train platform at the Delancey Street-Essex Street station around 1:50 a.m., authorities said.
He didn’t get hit by the train or touch the third rail, according to officials, but his head injury was severe enough to kill him.
Emergency responders rushed him to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
