NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Mayor Eric Adams still says he believes there are ghosts haunting Gracie Mansion.
Adams previously spoke about his ghostly beliefs during an appearance in the press booth at a Yankees game in May.
“I don’t care what anyone says, there are ghosts in there, man,” Adams said.
On Wednesday, Adams doubled down on his superstitions during an interview with 1010 WINS.
“I keep telling people they're ghosts in that house,” Adams said. “But they are definitely from the state of Casper, they are friendly ghosts.”
Adams isn’t the only one who thinks Gracie Mansion is home to some spirits. Former first lady, Chirlane McCray, wife of Bill de Blasio, said in 2017 that she heard the daughter of the original owner, Archibald Gracie, haunts the home.
“I’ve never seen her,” McCray said. “But there are times when doors open and close by themselves, and the floorboards creak as though someone is walking through the rooms.”
