NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two people's bodies have been recovered from a South Ozone Park home that collapsed Friday during a large five-alarm fire that spread to numerous buildings, according to the FDNY.

Fire officials said the massive blaze broke out just before 2:15 p.m. at the home at 104-18 125th Street near Liberty Avenue.

The FDNY said the fire began at the home and has spread to at least three additional homes.

Four firefighters have suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No civilians are injured at this time.

The NYPD had urged New Yorkers to avoid the area as crews battled the blaze.
