Man, 24, arrested for shooting FedEx driver in the neck in Brooklyn: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged with shooting a FedEx driver in the neck while he was delivering packages in Brooklyn earlier this month, police said Tuesday.

Jvon Johnson, of Brownsville, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon on Monday, the NYPD said.

The 44-year-old FedEx driver had just delivered packages to a building on Livonia Avenue, near Powell Street, in Brownsville around 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 7 when Johnson approached him and shot him in the back of the neck, police said.

Police told 1010 WINS the driver was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in serious but stable condition after the shooting.

Johnson's attorney information wasn't immediately available Tuesday.
