NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A fire broke out on the first floor of the American Museum of Natural History early Tuesday, FDNY officials said.

The blaze erupted around 1:30 a.m. and required about 60 firefighters to respond to the museum on 81st Street and Central Park West on the Upper West Side, authorities said.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control just before 2:30 a.m. It was confined to an office on the first floor.
