NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD on Wednesday released surveillance video of a suspect accused of punching a Manhattan food truck owner while attempting to steal the tip jar, authorities said.
The incident happened at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, in front of 28 East 28 Street in the NoMad neighborhood, officials said.

According to police, the suspect took the tip jar from a 61-year-old man's food truck.
When the victim confronted the individual about the theft, the individual punched the victim in the face, officials said.
The two got into a brief struggle and the victim took back the tip jar but the suspect managed to take $5 from the jar, authorities said.
The suspect then threw a bottle at the food truck's windshield and shattered it, the NYPD said.
The suspect fled down into the southbound 28 Street 6 subway station.
Police describe the suspect as a male, who wore a black baseball cap, a black mask, a black hooded sweater, a gray shirt, black sweatpants, and black sneakers.
