NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Just as New York City has mostly cleaned up from January’s big snowstorm, more snow is in the forecast for this weekend, according to AccuWeather.
The snow isn’t expected to be at the level of the Jan. 25 storm, which dumped over a foot of snow on parts of the city, but a coastal storm could drop between 1 and 3 inches.
The snow is set to arrive Sunday night before ending as flurries on Monday morning.
It was just this past week that relatively warmer weather melted many of the dirty snow mounds that lingered across the city for weeks during an extended deep freeze.
Alternate Side Parking returned Thursday for the first time since Jan. 26. Some drivers were finally getting around to moving their vehicles after the weeks-long hiatus.
“We’re over it,” one woman said of the snow. “Springtime, please come. The groundhog didn’t do us any justice.”
