NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn judge on Thursday sentenced a 43-year-old former NYPD officer to eight years in prison for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl and masturbating in front of three other young girls, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.

Shaun Frazier was a friend of all of his victims’ families and used his proximity to the children to abuse them.

The former officer admitted to forcing an 11-year-old girl to perform a sex act in April 2017.

Between March 20, 2018, and June 15, 2018, Frazier repeatedly masturbated in front of a 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old girl.

On Sept. 19, 2019, he masturbated in front of a 10-year-old girl.

One of the victims reported the abuse to her parents, who then contacted law enforcement.

Frazier was arrested in 2019 and pleaded guilty to a criminal sexual act and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child on March 13, 2023.

He had been working as an NYPD officer for five years when he was suspended following his arrest in 2019. He resigned from the force a year later.

“This defendant’s abhorrent abuse of young children is an outrage and marks a shocking betrayal of the trust placed in a member of law enforcement,” said Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez. “With today’s sentence he has been brought to justice and held accountable for his actions.”

In addition to the eight-year sentence, Frazier will serve five years post-release supervision and must register as a sex offender.
