NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 15-year-old girl has been charged with murder after police say she started a fire at a Bronx home last month that left one man dead and two others injured.

The teen, who is not being identified due to her age, is also charged with assault, arson, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief for the deadly fire that broke out at 1211 Evergreen Ave. in Soundview around 2 p.m. on Jan. 29, police said Sunday.

Video shows that the girl had something in her hand when she walked into the two-story home. She left empty-handed.

The FDNY had deemed the fire suspicious, and the fire marshal found it was fueled by the accelerant, officials said.

Flames ripped through the home, sending a plume of smoke over the area in the middle of the afternoon.

Three people suffered smoke inhalation and burns, with two of them making it out on their own, officials said.

The third person, later identified as Abdoukarim Sakolly, 27, was found unconscious on the second floor and died at the scene.

The building owner had numerous violations from the Department of Buildings, including for illegal occupancy and for failing to obey vacate orders, according to records.

A police spokesperson told the New York Post that the teen, who is "known to frequent the area," had a dispute with someone in the building but not Sakolly.

She had been identified as a person of interest in the fire and was reportedly arrested after building residents saw her in Midtown.
