NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A teen boy was beaten with a cane and a stick on a Queens street Monday afternoon by a group that fled in a car after the ambush, police said Tuesday as they released images of several suspects.

The 15-year-old victim was in front of a deli at Broadway and 48th Street in Astoria around 4:15 p.m. when four males came up and assaulted him.

The assailants used a cane and stick to bash the boy during the attack, police said.

The group then fled the area in a white Mazda SUV that was last seen headed southbound on 48th Street.

The victim was transported in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.
