
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released images of a group of suspects they are looking to identify in an attempted purse robbery in Manhattan in late February, authorities said Monday.
At approximately 11:45 p.m. on February 24, five suspects approached a 48-year-old woman at West 37th Street and 5th Avenue in Midtown, the NYPD said.
According to police, the suspects asked the victim for the time and then attempted to forcibly take her purse from her.
The suspects were unable to steal the victim's purse and proceeded to flee southbound on 6th Avenue.
The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.
