Gunman fires rounds at man, 22, inside car on South Bronx street: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a man who fired several rounds at a man sitting inside his car on a Bronx street, earlier this month, authorities said.

The incident happened at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, in the vicinity of Union Avenue and Southern Boulevard in the South Bronx, officials said.

According to police, the suspect discharged several rounds at the 22-year-old victim as he sat in his vehicle.

The victim, inside of his car, immediately drove away from the location.

The gunman fled the scene on foot into the courtyard of 500 Union Avenue.

Authorities describe the suspect as a dark-skinned man, 18 to 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, a black vest, black sweatpants and blue sneakers.
