VIDEO: Gunman, vehicle sought after man, 20, shot in leg, groin in Inwood

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a gunman and a vehicle after a man was shot in Upper Manhattan earlier this week, authorities said.

At approximately 1 a.m., on Monday, February 28, in front of 619 West 204th Street in Inwood, a 20-year-old man was sitting inside of a vehicle when the suspect approached the vehicle, officials said.

The suspect proceeded to display a firearm and discharge it multiple times, striking the victim in the groin area and left leg, according to the NYPD.

Police said the suspect fled in a dark-colored Ford, last seen traveling eastbound on West 207th Street.

The victim was transported via private means to New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, light blue hooded sweatshirt, dark blue pants, and dark-colored sneakers.
