Homeless man struck by train found dead inside Brooklyn subway tunnel

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The body of a homeless man was found inside a Brooklyn subway tunnel after he was struck by a train late Monday night, authorities said.

According to officials, at about 11:55 p.m., an MTA employee made the discovery about 500 feet into the Manhattan-bound tunnel for the F train at the Jay St.-Metro Tech station located in Downtown Brooklyn.

Police said the victim appeared to be a man in his 30s and homeless, but had no identification on him.

He had also been struck by a train at some point earlier, the NYPD said.

An investigation remains ongoing.
