NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A New York judge has temporarily blocked Mayor Bill de Blasio from evicting former President Donald Trump’s company from the Ferry Point golf course in the Bronx.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Debra James granted the Trump Organization a temporary stay earlier this month, halting the city’s attempt to terminate its contract with the company to operate the grounds.
De Blasio announced he would break the public operational contracts the Trump Organization has with the city following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots. The mayor said at the time that the "leadership of the company is engaged in criminal activity we have the right to severe the contract."
Trump’s company in June sued the city over the move, arguing that it was wrongfully terminated over politics. The former president attacked de Blasio over the move earlier this month, calling it “so unfair.”
"Mayor de Blasio wants to take it away after all of the work was so successfully done, and so much money was spent," Trump said. "So unfair—this is what happens in Communist Countries, not in America!"
A city Law Department spokesperson told the New York Post the city believes it will ultimately win the case.
“We respectfully disagree with the court’s decision allowing Trump Ferry to continue using the public parkland after termination," the spokesperson said. "We strongly believe the court will ultimately uphold the termination of Trump Ferry.”
