NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- An 84-year-old woman was hospitalized after a man shoved her to the ground on the Lower East Side, police said Thursday as they released a surveillance image of a suspect.

The man pushed the woman to the ground at Grand and Clinton streets on the evening of Dec. 11, according to police.
It's unclear if the two had interacted before the assault.
The woman suffered injuries to her face and back, police said.
She was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where she was in stable condition.
