Man, 20, slashed by machete near NYCHA complex; suspect at large: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 20-year-old man was slashed with a machete on Wednesday night near a NYCHA complex in Lower Manhattan, police said.

According to police, the attack happened around 11:15 p.m. near Water Street and Jackson Street.

The suspect approached the victim and slashed him in his left arm, causing a severe laceration.

EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he received stitches and is in stable condition.
