Man, 21, punched in unprovoked attack aboard Brooklyn L train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a suspect wanted for randomly assaulting a man aboard a Brooklyn subway train earlier this month, authorities said.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, October 13, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man on a moving southbound L train was approached by the suspect that engaged him in an unprovoked verbal dispute.

When the victim tried to walk away, the suspect began punching him multiple times in the head and body.

The suspect exited the train at the Jefferson Street train station in Bushwick and fled to parts unknown.

The victim sustained swelling and bruising to his face, and sought medical attention at NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn by private means.
