Man, 25, shot in neck during PS5 sale at Queens high-rise

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for multiple suspects after a man was shot in the neck during a PlayStation 5 sale in the lobby of a high-rise apartment building in Queens early Monday.

The shooting happened just after 12 a.m. at a high-rise building located on 24th Street in Long Island City.

Police said the suspects met the 25-year-old victim in the lobby of the building to arrange the sale of a PlayStation 5.

The suspects told the victim to check his phone for a payment but then attempted to steal the PlayStation and a cellphone, police said.

A struggle ensued, and the victim was shot, according to police.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The suspects fled the scene. There have been no arrests.

An investigation is ongoing.
