NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man used anti-gay slurs when he stabbed another man over his loud music aboard a Bronx subway train in an early Wednesday attack that's being investigated by the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force.

The 31-year-old victim was riding a northbound 2 train at the East 149th Street subway station in Mott Haven when a man on board began arguing with him around 1 a.m., according to police, who told the New York Daily News he was upset by his loud music and said, "Turn the music down, f****t!" before he pulled out a blade and stabbed the victim in the right forearm.

The assailant then fled topside, southbound on Brook Avenue and changed his clothes after the attack.

The victim was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition, police said.
