
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating a man who was fatally shot in the chest on a Bronx street early Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Just after 3:30 a.m., officers were called to 3734 White Plains Rd. in Williamsbridge, where a 40-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to the chest.

The victim was shot in the vicinity of East 216 Street and White Plains Road, the NYPD said.
EMS transported the man to NYC Heath & Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.
There are no arrests, and an investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
