NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 48-year-old man died after he was shot in the face in the lobby of a NYCHA building in Brooklyn early Friday morning, the NYPD said.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the man inside the lobby of a Linden Houses building at 250 Wortman Ave. in East New York with a gunshot wound to his face, police said.
The man was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the NYPD said. His name wasn’t immediately released.
No one had been arrested in connection with his death as of Friday afternoon. An investigation is ongoing.
