Man, 51, beaten in head with brass knuckles in knifepoint robbery on Manhattan train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for a man and a woman after a 51-year-old man was beaten in the head with brass knuckles on a Bronx subway station before being robbed at knifepoint Saturday.

It happened aboard a northbound 6 train at the Whitlock Avenue and Westchester Avenue subway station around 6 a.m.

A man and woman got into an argument with the victim, and the man beat him. The woman then displayed a knife and removed the victim's black bag, which contained his Motorola cellphone, before they both fled on foot topside to parts unknown.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition with minor injuries.

The value of the property removed was approximately $698.

Police on Sunday released an image of the male suspect.
