NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Authorities are investigating after a 53-year-old man who was repeatedly shot and killed on Staten Island Monday night, according to the NYPD.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 197 Broad St. in Stapleton Heights, officials said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they observed a 53-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the chest.
The victim was transported by EMS to Richmond University Medical Center and was later pronounced dead.
There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identification of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
