The victim was on a train at the busy Queensboro Plaza station around 8:40 a.m. when another man, believed to be in his 30s, came up and stabbed him in the face and hand, police said.

The attack was unprovoked, according to police.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and is expected to survive.

The stabber fled the train in an unknown direction. Citizen App video shows police officers at the station after the assault.

The NYPD said the suspect was wearing a shirt with gold buttons and black shorts.

The stabbing caused delays for Manhattan-bound 7 trains, the MTA said.
