
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police arrested a man accused of stabbing his roommate to death during a dispute over her boyfriend’s visits, authorities said Monday.
Just before midnight on Friday, April 29, 2022, police responded to a 911 call of a past assault at 557 East 21st St. in Flatbush.

Upon arrival, officers observed 29-year-old Paola Jimenez, who had suffered a laceration to her right hand. She was taken by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.
Officials also discovered that 73-year-old Freddy Quevedo had suffered multiple stab wounds to his back. Quevedo was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
According to authorities, they had been living together in the apartment where Jimenez’s boyfriend visited often.
The boyfriend was not in the apartment at the time of Quevedo's death.
The NYPD arrested Jimenez, 29, in connection to Quevedo's death.
Jimenez was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
An investigation is ongoing.
