NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Authorities are searching for a mugger who they said attacked a man in the vestibule of his Manhattan apartment building on New Year’s Eve.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. at a building on West 212nd Street, near 10th Avenue, in the Inwood section of the borough.
According to police, the 56-year-old victim was walking into the building when the attacker approached from behind and shoved him to the ground.
The unidentified man proceeded to drag the victim on the floor before forcibly removing an employment identification card and $95 in cash from his pants pocket.

The suspect then fled on foot, police said. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.
The attacker is described as having a dark complexion and was last seen wearing all black clothing and carrying a black book bag.
