Man beaten, robbed at knifepoint aboard Bronx subway train, 5 suspects sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for five suspects in connection to a knifepoint robbery that occurred aboard a Bronx subway train earlier this month, authorities said.

The robbery happened at approximately 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6.

According to police, a 25-year-old man aboard a southbound 6 train approaching the Longwood Avenue subway station in Longwood was approached by the group of suspects.

The suspects displayed a knife and punched and kicked the victim then stole his wallet before fleeing.

The victim refused medical attention.
