NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was beaten and robbed by two males in broad daylight on a Chelsea street, police said Thursday as they released an image of one of the suspects.
The 48-year-old victim was in a dispute with the pair outside the Chelsea-Elliott Houses at West 27th Street and 10th Avenue around 6:30 p.m. on July 28 when they beat him up.
The duo punched and kicked him “numerous times” and then robbed him of his cellphone and cash, police said—all less than a block from the bustling High Line and in the middle of the evening rush.
The suspects were last seen fleeing westbound on West 27th Street, according to police.
The victim declined medical attention at the scene.
