Man critical after jumping in front of Manhattan subway train: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man is in critical condition after he jumped in front of a subway train in Manhattan late Monday, authorities said.

Police said at around 11:15 p.m., the man jumped in front of an oncoming northbound train at 34th St. - Penn Station, police said.

The man was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, and listed in critical condition, officials said Tuesday morning.

It is unknown why the man jumped. Trains on the N and Q lines were temporarily delayed following the incident, according to the MTA.
