NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — A man was hospitalized in critical condition after he rear-ended an MTA bus in the Bronx early Monday, authorities said.

    Officials were called to the scene at approximately 4:45 a.m. after the MTA bus operating eastbound was struck from behind near the intersection of Pelham Parkway and White Plains Road, in the Allerton neighborhood.
Video from the Citizen App shows FDNY working to remove the driver from the vehicle.
The driver of the bus was also transported to an area hospital for an evaluation, according to the NYPD.
There were no bus passenger injuries reported.
An investigation is ongoing.
