Man, 33, critically injured in Queens hit-and-run, driver sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for the driver of a hit-and-run accident that left a man critically injured in Queens early Friday, authorities said.

It happened at around 3:35 a.m. when a 33-year-old man was on 31st Avenue and 33rd Street attempting to cross 31st Avenue in Astoria.

Officials said he was struck by a black sedan driving westbound.

The driver kept going and did not stop.

The man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.

There have been no arrests made and an investigation remains ongoing.
