NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man has died after being shot in the chest at a Queens subway station Monday afternoon, police said.

Cops said the police received a call at 4:30 p.m. about a shooting on the mezzanine at the Jamaica Center - Parsons/Archer subway station.

The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital, initially in in critical condition, but the NYPD later said the victim died at 5:05 p.m.

He was later identified as 24-year-old Marcus Bethea of Brooklyn.

Police believe he knew his killer. The investigation is ongoing.
