NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was found dead of an apparent suicide close to a Chinatown school Thursday morning, police said.

The victim was found around 7:30 a.m. on Hester Street in front of M.S. 131 Dr. Sun Yat Sen middle school.
Cops said the unidentified man had slash marks on his body and cuts to his wrists, leading investigators to believe it was a suicide.
The city's medical examiner will determine his cause of death.
There was no immediate indication the man had a connection to the school.
