On Friday, Dec. 17 just before 10 p.m., police were called to the scene of a crash on the westbound side of Jackie Robinson Parkway.

The crash happened between Forest Park Drive and Metropolitan Avenue when a 2013 silver Infiniti G37X sedan “failed to properly navigate the roadway” and struck a tree.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead, police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The crash is under investigation by the NYPD’s Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad.
