NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 35-year-old man was found disemboweled in his Queens bed Tuesday evening, police said as they searched for his killer.

Police deemed the man’s death a homicide Wednesday morning after his body was found Tuesday by his roommate inside their apartment at 40th Road and 102nd Street in Corona.

Officers responded to a 911 call about the grisly find around 6 p.m. When they arrived at the victim's fourth-floor apartment, they saw him lying on his bed with “severe trauma to his torso,” police said.

The victim’s face and abdomen were covered in dried blood. He had been eviscerated and his intestines were exposed.

The medical examiner is working to determine his cause of death.

The man, who hasn’t yet been identified, was last seen alive on Sunday, police said.

Sources told 1010 WINS that the victim had domestic violence arrests in the past for menacing and assault but no recent run-ins with the law.

No arrests have been reported in the killing. Detectives were working the neighborhood Wednesday trying to piece together what happened.
