
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was found dead with a rope around his neck in Central Park Wednesday morning, the NYPD said.
A passerby called 911 around 8:18 a.m. after she found the 26-year-old man lying face up on the grass in a meadow near East 65th Street and East Drive, police told 1010 WINS.

The man, who was unconscious and unresponsive, had a rope tied around his neck, the NYPD said.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene, according to police.
The city’s Medical Examiner will determine how the man died, police said. His name wasn’t immediately released.
Police sources told the New York Post his death did not appear to be a suicide, as there were no trees nearby.
