NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The man who fatally shot his ex-girlfriend as she pushed their 3-month-old daughter in a stroller on the Upper East Side last month was indicted for murder, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced Wednesday.

Isaac Argro, 23, is charged with second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon following Azsia Johnson's June 29 murder.
Court documents and statements said Argo convinced Johnson to meet him so he could give her items for their daughter. Johnson texted him ahead of time with details about where they would meet and what he would be wearing when she saw him. These details matched those given by 911 callers after the incident.
Argo allegedly arrived at East 95th Street between Lexington and Third avenues without the supposed items, dressed in black with a ski mask over his face. He then shot Johnson in the head at point-blank range before fleeing the scene, according to the district attorney's office.
Video surveillance captured Argo discarding his clothing to avoid police and arrest.
Officials said Argo then called Johnson's family and questioned the whereabouts of his child. He also threatened another individual who knew Johnson, saying they were "next."
"As alleged, Isaac Argro murdered Azsia Johnson, the mother of their 3-month-old child, in a premeditated act of fatal domestic violence," Bragg said in a statement.
Johnson's family told the Associated Press that Argo routinely abused her, beat her during her pregnancy and threatened to kill her.
"Committing this type of killing in front of an infant is horrific, and I cannot imagine the pain that Ms. Johnson’s family and loved ones are experiencing," Bragg added in his statement. "I want to make clear that we will pursue full accountability and justice in this case."
