Man killed, another injured in Queens double shooting: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old man on a Queens street on Monday night, according to authorities.

Police responded to a report of an assault at 94-01 37 Avenue in Jackson Heights on Dec. 27, just after at 8 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Gilbert Gayosso with a gunshot wound to the head and a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the torso.

EMS pronounced Gayosso dead at the scene.

The 21-year-old victim was transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital where he is in stable condition.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.
