Man who pulled out BB gun during dispute on Brooklyn subway train arrested: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was arrested after he brandished a BB gun during an argument on a Brooklyn subway Wednesday morning, the NYPD said.

It happened just after 9:00 a.m. as the northbound A train pulled into the Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets in Downtown Brooklyn, police said.

The two men on the train got into a dispute when one of them reached pulled out what looked like a handgun from his fanny pack, a police spokeswoman said.

An NYPD officer was on the train at the time of the incident was able to figure out that the weapon was actually a BB gun, authorities said.

That officer took the man with the BB gun-carrier into custody.

His identity wasn’t immediately released and charges were pending, according to cops.
