NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man sexually assaulted and then punched a woman on a Brooklyn sidewalk, police said Saturday as they searched for a suspect.
The 28-year-old woman was sitting on a sidewalk on Herkimer Street, near Nostrand Avenue, in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 6 a.m. last Friday when she was attacked, police said.
The man walked up and placed his exposed privates on the woman’s head, according to police.
When the woman pushed him away, he punched her in the chest and elbow before fleeing, police said.
The woman suffered pain and bruising to her chest and a minor laceration to her elbow, according to police.
EMS transported her to Interfaith Hospital, where she was treated and released.
Surveillance video released by the NYPD on Saturday shows the suspect.
