VIDEO: Man slapped by suspect who made anti-gay remarks at Midtown coffee shop

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force on Wednesday released video footage of an assault that occurred at a Midtown coffee shop last month.

The attack happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, inside Gregory’s Coffee, located at 874 Avenue of the Americas, according to police.

Officials are searching for a suspect they said individual threw an unknown object at a 22-year-old man outside of the coffee shop and then followed him inside where he made anti-gay statements and slapped him in the face.
