Police searching for man who slashed woman with boxcutter in Bronx subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man in his 20s who slashed a 26-year-old woman with a boxcutter on a Bronx subway platform.

The man approached the victim on the subway platform at the 174th Street Station near Crotona Park on May 7 around noon and started talking to her.

After making conversation for a short time, the man pulled a box cutter on her, slashed her right hand and fled onto a southbound 2 train.

EMS brought the victim to a nearby hospital.
