VIDEO: Man who snatched woman's necklace aboard Queens J train sought by NYPD

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- The NYPD is searching for a man in connection with a jewelry robbery that occurred aboard a subway train in Queens on Monday, authorities said.

Just after 11 a.m., a 31-year-old woman was aboard a northbound J train en route to the 85th Street/Forest Parkway station in Woodhaven when the suspect approached her, shoved her neck, and pulled off her necklace, police said.

Upon arrival at the train station, the suspect fled the train, police said.

The necklace had the name “Rona” on it, cops said.

The victim was not injured.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walking on Jamaica Avenue after the incident, officials said.
