NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police believe one man is behind three vicious attacks on women at an upper Manhattan park—all within the span of about an hour.

The women were targeted in the area of Dyckman Street at Inwood Hill Park on Wednesday morning, police said.

Just before 11 a.m., a man punched a 34-year-old woman in the face and stole several items, including a phone, watch and earbuds, from her before fleeing, according to police.

About a half-hour later around 11:30 a.m., a man threatened to rape a 40-year-old woman and kill her dog as she walked the pet, police said. The man fled after being spooked by a jogger. The victim was not injured.

Then shortly before noon, a 44-year-old woman was approached by a man who hit her on the head with a branch, knocking her unconscious, and then tried to take off her pants, according to police.

A good Samaritan noticed the woman’s dog alone and then saw the woman coming out of the woods, police said. She was taken to Harlem Hospital to be treated.

Police are investigating the third incident as a possible sexual assault.
