NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released surveillance images Saturday of a man they’re searching for in the fatal stabbing of a woman at a public housing complex in East Harlem this week.
Jacklyn Delgado, 38, was killed at the Wagner Houses early Wednesday morning, according to police.
Delgado and a man got into an argument around 5:45 a.m. inside one of the housing complex’s buildings near Second Avenue and E. 120th Street, police said.
During the dispute, the man stabbed Delgado five times before fleeing the building and down Second Avenue, according to police.
Delgado was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.
Police said Delgado was homeless. Residents told the Daily News that she didn’t live in the building but that homeless people often sleep in a stairwell on the 16th floor, where she was reportedly stabbed.
Police said they believe the man they’re searching for is between 45 and 55 years old.
