
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for a man who they say allegedly assaulted a bus operator with a tree branch on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred in the Tremont section of the Bronx when a man exited an MTA bus to retrieve a fallen tree branch and then reboarding the bus and striking the 39-year-old female bus operator in the right arm, authorities said.
Police said the suspect then threw the tree branch toward the bus operator and took off on foot.
The bus operator refused medical attention at the scene.
The individual is described as having a light complexion, approximately 30 to 40 years old, salt and pepper facial hair, partially bald and last seen wearing a brown hoodie jacket, light blue jeans and black sneakers.
