Man who raped teen he met online in the Bronx sought by NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released a photo of a man accused of raping a teen he met online in the Bronx earlier this week.

It happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 17, when a 17-year-old girl was walking inside of a building in the vicinity of Rosedale Avenue and Watson Avenue in Soundview, authorities said.

According to officials, the teen was approached by the suspect who pushed her into a room, punched her in the face then proceeded to rape her.

The suspect was last seen fleeing southbound on Rosedale Avenue on foot.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Jacobi in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, and black shorts with a white stripe.

They had both previously met in person, after meeting through MegaPersonals, police sources told the Daily News.
