VIDEO: Man with teardrop tattoo who groped girl, 14, aboard Harlem subway train sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man wanted for groping a teen girl while aboard a Harlem subway train last month, authorities said.

The incident happened at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, while a 14-year-old girl was aboard a moving southbound 6 train, according to officials.

Authorities said the girl was standing next to the suspect and both were holding onto the same standing pole when he repeatedly moved his hand to touch hers.

Both the victim and the suspect detrained at the East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue train station.

The suspect followed the teen onto a southbound 5 train, where he touched the victim's waist and thigh inappropriately, the NYPD said.

The victim detrained at the 14 Street-Union Square train station. The suspect remained on the train to parts unknown.

The girl did not sustain any injuries as a result of this incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, black hair and a teardrop tattoo.

The missing was wearing construction attire and has a very distinct construction helmet.
